About

I am a Senior Graphic Designer and Senior Production Designer with more than 12 years of professional design experience. I have a strong background in graphic design, layout, typography, and production, along with the organizational and problem-solving skills needed to manage large, complicated projects. I enjoy working with people, collaborating across teams, and finding practical ways to make creative work more efficient and effective.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design and a minor in Art History from Central Michigan University. My interest in design and layout goes back to my time as editor-in-chief of my high school yearbook and continued through page and web design for my college newspaper.

Since then, my experience has spanned a broad range of design and production work. I’ve worked directly with clients to design signage and environmental graphics, created packaging, advertising, trade show displays, presentations, motion graphics, and marketing materials, and developed systems to make repetitive production work faster and more consistent.

In my current role with Ferguson and Minka, much of my work centers around large-scale print production and product marketing. I create and maintain catalogs, specification sheets, price books, presentations, sales materials, signage, and other collateral across multiple lighting brands. I also work extensively with product data and data-driven publishing, using tools such as InDesign, EasyCatalog, and Excel to organize information, automate production, and solve some particularly complicated layout problems.

Throughout my career, I’ve taken a lot of pride in being someone people can rely on. I enjoy working with customers and teammates, communicating clearly, solving problems without making them more complicated than they need to be, and building good working relationships along the way.

I enjoy variety in my work, adapt easily when priorities change, and tend to approach new challenges with a mix of creativity and practicality. I’m thorough in my work, calm when things get hectic, and happiest when I can take something complicated and find a better way to make it work.
